After earning the 2012 Florida Winter Tour Vortex TaG Cadet Championship, Darren Keane has emerged as one of the drivers to watch in the karting ranks. Getting started in the sport six years ago in Kid Karts at Palm Beach International Raceway, the Parkland, Florida resident was a natural right from the start.
Garnering numerous race wins and podiums in his short career, Keane is well on his way to a becoming a professional racecar driver. Recently making the jump to the challenging and ultra-competitive junior ranks, Keane continues to showcase the raw talent, perseverance and competitive spirit it takes to succeed in the sport.
Together with a keen interest to balance his academics with his karting pursuits, the 12-year-old has a goal to achieve high honor roll status, travel and study one day in Europe, and pursue an engineering degree. This well-rounded rising talent is sure to continue his success both on and off the track in 2012 and beyond.
